i made a video today about something that i wondered about for YEARS.
the snare drum seems like it could be the most boring instrument on earth. when you hit it, it only goes "BAM". it doesn't go ding, or laaaaa. just BAM.
regardless, you still have to sound as musical as any violinist or oboist or trumpeter.
and therein lies the challenge. we percussionists have to string together a bunch of "BAM"s and sound like a musician.
but... how?!
well, there are at least 7 ways. i counted them in today's video so that you can use them to become a better musician.
