how to warm up on cymbals

welcome to crash cymbals.

for the first five-or-so years of playing crash cymbals, it’s REALLY hard to figure out how to practice crash cymbals or even to get a good sound. i didn’t develop a decent cymbal sound until the last year or two of my undergrad.

it turns out that there’s a really effective way to practice crash cymbals that can systematically lead you to playing better crashes and to developing more sounds into your ‘collection’ of cymbal crashes.

it’s a 3-step process, and i talk all about it in today’s video, how to warm up on crash cymbals.
